This is a group for children aged 5-11 years who meet in St Mary's Church on Fridays 3.45-5.15pm

We have great fun discovering about God and His wonderful creation, and Jesus and the marvellous things He did, through story-telling, art, craft, singing and games. We share refreshments together just as Jesus and His friends did.

We also have activity days throughout the year during the school holidays where the children can come from 10am - 3pm (lunch is provided) and enjoy an extended period of time learning about Jesus in a fun way. See more details of times in the calendar.

TADPOLES

A friendly and peaceful space for babies and toddlers for play and exploration, and for their carers to chat and make friends for an hour and a half on Tuesdays during term time.

WHAT DOES ST MARY'S CHURCH OFFER CHILDREN AND FAMILIES?

Children and families are welcome at all services and we make every effort to involve children in our worship whenever possible. There are always books, toys, paper, pencils and jigsaws available for children at the back of the church. The main service is at 10.45 on Sundays, followed by refreshments.

BAPTISM

Baptisms usually happen at St Mary's during the main 10.45am Sunday service, or can be arranged on other days. Please contact the Benefice office.

FAMILY PICNICS

There are occasional events, a few times a year, aimed at children up to the age of 11 and their parents. They usually involve songs, stories, crafts and some food and drink. If you plan to come, its helpful if you can let us know so we can get the catering right! They start at 3.30pm and last until about 5pm.
